Annual Black Hills Jazz Festival is coming to campus

Twenty-nine middle and high school jazz bands and choirs from four states will participate in the annual Black Hills Jazz Festival Monday, April 12 on the Black Hills State University campus.

All performances will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Choir performances will be held in the David B. Miller Yellow Jacket Student Union Jacket Legacy Room. Band performances will be held in the Clare and Josef Meier Recital Hall. Following the performances, the awards ceremony will take place in Meier Recital Hall at 5 p.m.

Wyoming schools performing include: Sundance, Sage Valley, Twin Spruce, Buffalo, and Douglas. South Dakota schools include: Spearfish, Belle Fourche, Miller, Jones County, Hot Springs, Lead-Deadwood and Sturgis. Nebraska schools include Bayard High School and Niobrara County. Williston High School from North Dakota will also be performing.
