BHSU alumna nominated for Minnesota Teacher of the Year

Black Hills State University alumna and former cross country and track/field athlete Monica Headlee has been selected as one of the semifinalists for the Minnesota Teacher of the Year Award.

Headlee, who is from Kadoka, attended BHSU in the late 90s earning All-American Honors in cross country, indoor track, and outdoor track.

Headlee also earned four National Association of Intercollegiate Athletes (NAIA) Academic All-Scholar honors while attending BHSU. She is currently teaching and coaching in Tracy, Minn. The Minnesota Teacher of the Year will be selected in late May.
