BHSU to host Founders’ Day Celebration

Black Hills State University will celebrate its 127th anniversary with a Founders’ Day luncheon Feb. 26 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in Hive Dining area located in the David B. Miller Yellow Jacket Student Union.

Attendees are invited to try the new dining options the Hive offers including: PAO, a Mongolian grill style BBQ; The Grille, a traditional grille with items such as burgers, chicken and fries; Bravo, a hearth – fired, house-made pizzeria serving many popular Italian dishes; Market Place Entrees, serving Midwestern home-style cooking; Sweet Peppers Deli, a made-to–order sandwiches and wraps bar; Field of Greens, salad bar with classic salads and a variety of fresh offerings; and the Bakery, providing a variety of sweet treats or soft serve ice cream.

In celebration of Founder’s Day, former BHSU President Tom Flickema and his wife Judy will assist President Kay Schallenkamp in the ceremonial anniversary cake cutting.
