BHSU administrators meet with Office of Women’s Business Ownership

Black Hills State University administrators Sharon Hemmingson, director of sponsored programs (left), and Helen Merriman, director of the South Dakota Center for Enterprise Opportunity (SD CEO) (right), met with Ana Recio Harvey, the assistant administrator of the Office of Women’s Business Ownership, (center) at management training in Washington, D.C. last week. The intensive two-day grant management training, sponsored by the SBA, included directors and finance managers from the Women’s Business Centers in South Dakota, Wyoming, Montana, Oregon and Washington, D.C. BHSU recently established the SD CEO Center which provides assistance and training to current and prospective entrepreneurs from start up to expansion to foster economic development. The SD CEO is located in Woodburn Hall room 211 on the BHSU campus.
