Spearfish Legislative Crackerbarrel set for Saturday at BHSU

The Spearfish Area Chamber of Commerce’s Government Affairs Committee will be hosting a "Legislative Cracker-Barrel" Saturday, Jan. 23 at 9 a.m. on the Black Hills State University campus in Yellow Jacket Legacy room located on the second floor of the Student Union.

Sen. Tom Nelson, Rep. Charles Turbiville and Rep. Fred Romkema have been invited to participate. Cracker-Barrels are held to afford the public the opportunity to visit with local legislators and become more informed on political issues facing the State. Following the opening remarks by each legislator, the public will have the opportunity to ask questions and make comments on legislative issues.

BHSU will host an additional crackerbarrel on Saturday, March 6 at 9 a.m. in the David B. Miller Yellow Jacket Student Union Jacket Legacy Room.

Area residents are encouraged to attend. For more information, please call the Spearfish Chamber of Commerce at 642-2626.
