Dakota Masterworks Art Show on display at BHSU

Artwork from the 13th Annual South Dakota Health Care Association (SDHCA) Dakota MasterWorks Art Show is currently on display at the Ruddell Gallery, located in the David B. Miller Yellow Jacket Student Union at Black Hills State University through Jan. 6. The show includes this 3-dimentional wood carved violin created by Arthur Ramse of Canton.

Artwork from the 13th Annual South Dakota Health Care Association (SDHCA) Dakota MasterWorks Art Show is currently on display at the Ruddell Gallery, located in the David B. Miller Yellow Jacket Student Union at Black Hills State University.

The SDHCA Dakota MasterWorks was created to feature the creativity and talents of older South Dakotans.

There are over 40 winning entries on display at the gallery, including a wood carved violin by Arthur Ramse from Canton.

Entries were received in the following categories: oil, watercolor, and acrylic painting; drawing/pastels, photography, sculpture, and wood carving. Categories were divided into two age groups: experienced, ages 60 - 79; and masters, ages 80+.

The show, sponsored by the SDHCA, Home Federal Bank and KELOLAND television, will be on display through Jan. 6, 2010, during normal Student Union hours. For more information contact LuAnn Severson, S.D. Health Care Association, at (605) 339-2071 or 1-800-952-3052.
