BHSU to host Madrigal Dinner

Black Hills State University will host the annual Madrigal Dinner Dec. 18, 19 and 20.

The event will feature the BHSU Chamber Singers directed by Dr. Jonathan Nero. The singers, in Renaissance costumes, will lead the audience through a Renaissance Christmas feast, while surrounded by Christmas decorations in the Clare and Josef Meier Hall. During dinner, the performers will entertain guests with a theatrical program and Christmas carols. An after dinner concert of Renaissance music will be held in the recital hall.

The event is sponsored by the BHSU Music Department. The dinner and entertainment begins at 6:30 p.m. each evening, tickets are $35. For reservations and ticket information contact 642-6652 from 8:30 a.m. to noon or 642-6133 from 2 – 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Last year the event sold out quickly, so make your reservations soon.
