BHSU raises funds for Honor Flight

The Black Hills State University concert band played two concerts recently to raise money for Honor Flight South Dakota. More than $1800 was raised from donations taken at the door.

The concerts were performed in Rapid City and Spearfish. They featured a combination of patriotic music and World War II era music. A few musicians from Rapid City joined the cause and played with the BHSU concert band.

The money raised will be used to fund a charter flight direct to Washington, D.C. for a two-day visit to the WWII memorial, Arlington National Cemetery, and other sites honoring service men and women. More information on Honor Flight S.D. can be found at www.honorflightsd.org.
