In celebration of American Archives Month, the Black Hills State University Leland D. Case Library for Western Historical Studies and BHSU Archives will hold an open house on Oct. 29th from 2-5 p.m.
Guests will get a chance to see behind the scenes of our research library. Tours will be conducted of the collections, displays, and archive material.
The Case Library contains materials relating to the History of the Black Hills, South Dakota and the Northern Great Plains. Materials held by the Case Library include: books, photographs, personal and family papers, organizational records, and maps.
The University Archives contains all types of documents relating to the history of the University. Some of the materials available are: photographs, yearbooks, course catalogs, the student newspapers, and early ledgers.
The Case Library and University Archives is open to everyone. The Case Library is located on the second floor of the E.Y. Berry Library. Refreshments will be served. Visitor parking is available. For further information, call (605) 642-6834.
