BHSU receives grants and awards to further education

Black Hills State University has received the following grants and awards:

$537,558 from the National Institutes of Health, sub-awarded from the University of South Dakota for the Biomedical Research Infrastructure Network (BRIN) / Idea Networks of Biomedical Research Excellence (INBRE) project.

$444,000 from the National Science Foundation for Sudbury Neutrino Observatory (SNO+) and DArTPC Collaboration Activities in Underground Particle Astrophysics.

$499,844 from the National Science Foundation for the Development of a Multi-Herbarium Web-Accessible Database of the Vascular Plants from the Missouri Plateau, U.S.A.

$384,999 from the U.S. Department of Education for the Upward Bound Program.

$308,665 from the U.S. Department of Education, Office of Postsecondary Education for Student Support Services.

$250,000 from the U.S. Department of Transportation, sub-awarded from the South Dakota Department of Transportation for Transportation Enhancement at Black Hills State University.

$185,000 from the National Science Foundation, sub-awarded from the South Dakota State University for the Research Infrastructure Improvement (RII) Science and Education Center Project.

$175,000 from the National Science Foundation, sub-awarded from the South Dakota State University for the Research Infrastructure Improvement (RII) Photo Activated Nano Systems (PANS) Project.

$156,349 from the National Science Foundation, sub-awarded from the South Dakota State University for the 2010 Initiative: Science-Based Leadership for South Dakota.

$130,000 from the National Science Foundation for MRI: Developing a Custom Trace Gas Analyzer for Noble Gases.
