Black Hills State University hosts fall career and volunteer fair

Black Hills State University will host a Fall Career and Volunteer Fair Wednesday, Oct. 21 from 10 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. in the Donald E. Young Center Field House.

The career fair, sponsored by the BHSU Career Center, has 23 companies and organizations registered and that number is expected to increase. Companies and organizations are planning to interview potential employees. Job seekers will have the opportunity to further develop career and educational experience by taking advantage of positions offered by these companies and organizations.

Businesses and organizations registered at the career fair include: Adams Museum and Historic Adams House; AFLAC; American Income Life; Becker Professional Education; Black Hills Corporation; Black Hills State University; Black Hills, Badlands, & Lakes Association; Department of Legislative Audit, State of South Dakota; Enterprise Rent-A-Car; Ketel Thorstenson, LLP; Laramie County Sheriff’s Department.; Modern Woodmen of America; Northern Hills Training Center; Northwestern Mutual Financial Network; South Dakota Department of Labor-Spearfish; STAR Academy; State Farm Insurance Companies; State of South Dakota-Bureau of Personnel; The Student Conversation Association; U.S. Army-ROTC Mt. Rushmore Battalion; University of Wyoming-MBA Program; US Army Medical Recruiting Station; and Wells Fargo Financial.

A volunteer fair, sponsored by the BHSU Office Civic Engagement, will be held in conjunction with the career fair. Nearly a dozen non-profit organizations are expected.
