Black Hills State University will host a presentation on commercialization of innovation/research and entrepreneurship Tuesday, Oct. 6 from 2-4 p.m. in Clare and Josef Meier Hall.
Mark Clevey, director of Entrepreneurship Development Center at Saginaw Valley State University, Mich., will be the guest speaker. Clevey is a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, an entrepreneur, public policy advocate, lobbyist, manager and educator with over 35 years of successful experience in both the public and private sectors. He is a highly successful fund raiser with specific expertise in government, foundation and corporation funding. Clevey previously served as the executive director of the Small Business Foundation of Michigan and vice president of the Entrepreneurship, Small Business Association of Michigan. He also served as the vice president for a highly successful Michigan non-profit industry association that managed inter-organizational research, development and commercialization projects involving industry, education and government.
The presentation is open to the public. There will be a reception following from 4-5 p.m. in the lobby.
