Black Hills State University’s visual arts department along with the Spearfish Arts Center Gallery will host “The Deadwood Songbook” Concert Friday, Sept. 25 at 7 p.m. at the Matthews Opera House. The concert will feature Hank Harris with Kenny Putnam and Ricky Jacobsen. Proceeds from this event will go to BHSU art student scholarships and the Spearfish Arts Center for preservation of its programs and the Matthews Opera House. Social hour will be held from 6-7 p.m. with a cash bar and hors d’oeuvres. A silent art auction with approximately 20 pieces of artwork from both the BHSU visual arts department and the Spearfish Arts Center Gallery will also be held during the concert.
