Employees will be recognized during annual BHSU Employee Awards Reception

Spearfish Mayor Jerry Krambeck expresses his appreciation to Black Hills State University employees Sheng Yang, vice president of the BHSU faculty senate, Nancy Grassel, director of human resources, and Cindy Ostert, president of the Career Service Council, after issuing a proclamation declaring April 28 as BHSU Employee Appreciation Day. Gov. Michael Rounds also issued a proclamation honoring all BHSU employees for their dedicated service.

The annual Black Hills State University Employee Awards Reception will be held Tuesday, April 28 from 1 p.m. – 3 p.m. in the Jacket Legacy Room of the David B. Miller Yellow Jacket Student Union. BHSU retirees and annual employee award winners will be honored at the reception. Retirees who will be honored this year are: Janet Bettelyoun, custodial worker; Kay Kerney, senior secretary with the College of Arts and Sciences; Randi Ellis, College of Business; and Brent Carper, College of Business. A number of BHSU employees will be recognized for their years of service and their outstanding achievements.

Everyone is encouraged to wear their BHSU or green and gold apparel on Tuesday in honor of BHSU Employee Recognition day.
