Black Hills State University recently received a donation of $125,000 from Black Hills Corporation.
The funds were pledged to the BHSU Foundation to establish a Black Hills Corporation Scholarship fund and to assist the College of Business with its pursuit to receive accreditation from the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) accreditation.
The scholarship fund is for students connected to internship opportunities at Black Hills Corporation in business, communications, marketing, or other majors in conjunction with their degree course work. The recipients must also enroll in a minimum of 15 credit hours per semester.
The Black Hills Corporation AACSB accreditation fund will be used to support the University’s effort to earn accreditation in the College of Business and Technology at BHSU.
The donation was also received in conjunction with the 125th anniversary celebrations at both BHSU and BH Corporation.
