Jake Miller, a Black Hills State University senior from Pierre who is majoring in biology and chemistry, has been selected to represent BHSU at a poster day highlighting university research in Pierre Feb. 17.
Miller, a dean’s list and Honors Program student at BHSU, has worked in the Center for Conservation of Biological Resources (CCBR) lab as a Biomedical Research Infrastructure Network (BRIN) fellow and workstudy student since his sophomore year. He has been a member of several student organizations, as well as, president and vice president of both Scientia and the Health Sciences Student Organization.
He has applied to several M.D. and Ph.D. programs across the Midwest, including the University of South Dakota.
Miller is an active member of the community and volunteers for United Blood Services and at the David M. Dorsett Regional Care Center. He is the son of Barb and Terry Miller.
