College of Business and Technology announces scholarship recipients

The College of Business and Technology at Black Hills State University has announced its scholarship winners for the 2008-09 academic year.

Melinda Horst, sophomore accounting major from Deadwood, received the Howard & Elaine Perry Scholarship.

Jason Boeding, junior industrial technology major from Caputa; and Max Greuel, junior industrial technology major from Minot, N.D., received the Walt Scheinost Memorial Scholarship.

Karl Fiedler, junior industrial technology major from George, Iowa, and Boeding received the Industrial Technology Scholarship.

The Nikki Bogard Scholarship was awarded to Jennifer Hoscheid, senior accounting major from Pierre.

Jacqueline Shelton, senior accounting major from Rapid City, was awarded the Accounting Faculty Scholarship.

The Roland Dolly Loyalty Scholarship was awarded to Marvin Heesacker, entrepreneurial studies major from Gillette, Wyo.

Kristen Kenner, senior business administration major from Rapid City, received the George Edward Martin Scholarship.

Wesley Clifford, senior human resources management major from New Underwood, received the Montana-Dakota Utilities Scholarship.

Jess Weaver, senior professional accounting major from Spearfish, and Huoyao Tan, junior accounting major from Spearfish, received the Spearfish Optimist Club Scholarship.

The Mary Givorgi Memorial Scholarship was awarded to Jessica Zacher, sophomore tourism and hospitality management major from Rapid City.

Elizabeth Helms, senior tourism and hospitality management major from Creighton, received the Manning Scholarship, the Obed Olson and Bette Parsells Scholarship, and the Mary Givogri Memorial Scholarship.

Katie Vernard, tourism and hospitality management major from Sturgis, received the Patricia Romkema Memorial Scholarship.

Haley Lux, senior human resources management major from Spearfish, received the Joy Termes Scholarship.

Cassandra Rausch, senior professional accounting major from Onida, received the Yvonne Weyrich Business Scholarship.

The Dr. William and Mrs. Betty Estelle Carper Scholarship was awarded to PJ Painter, junior accounting major from Buffalo.

Amber Haessig, senior marketing major from Redfield, received the Michael Schlimgen Memorial Scholarship.

Elizabeth Nisley, junior professional accounting major from Spearfish, received the Art W. Nelson Memorial Scholarship.

Nicole Simque, junior human recourses management major from Spearfish; Jill Kary, junior business administration major from Powell, Wyo.; and Jessica Rodriguez, junior entrepreneurial studies major from Rapid City; were awarded Evelyn Elliot Memorial Scholarships.

The Bryce and Clara Christensen Scholarship was awarded to Dillon Julius, junior marketing major from Rapid City.

Business Department Scholarships were awarded to Jamie Richey, senior marketing major from Wewela; Polly Hall, senior business administration major from Sheridan, Wyo.; Jesse Vrooman, senior professional accounting major from Miller; Brittany Fanning, senior marketing  major from Saint Lawrence; and Melissa Hampton, junior entrepreneurial studies major from Upton, Wyo.

The Darleen Young Scholarship was awarded to Brandon Bentley, junior professional accounting major from Spearfish.
