Black Hills State University video production students recently created public service announcements for the South Dakota Speech-Language-Hearing Association (SDSLHA).

Becky Cermak, speech-language pathologist with Spearfish Regional Hospital, worked closely with Tori Robbins, video production instructor at BHSU, and her students to conduct a contest among the students to write and produce the video messages.

The video contest winners were: Randal Iverson, sophomore mass communication major from Rhame, N.D; Ben Peck, senior communication art major from Rapid City; and Matt Kapust, sophomore mass communication major from Casper, Wyo.  Honorable mention went to: Gina Lende, junior mass communication major from Jamestown, N.D.; and Megan Fiala, junior mass communication major from Redwood Falls, Minn.

The winning videos will begin airing on TV stations state-wide in January.  The winning PSA’s and the honorable mention PSA’s can be viewed on the SDSLHA website, www.sdslha.org, after the first of the year.
