Black Hills State University will host “What to do When Things Go Wrong,” a financial presentation by Terry Mills, of Consumer Credit Counseling in Rapid City, Wednesday, Nov. 12 at 2 p.m. in the David B. Miller Yellow Jacket Student Union Jacket Legacy Room. Mills will speak about proactive steps one can take to work with his or her financial institution in a financial pinch.
This is the third of several financial seminars sponsored by the BHSU Students In Free Enterprise (SIFE) in conjunction with Highmark Federal Credit Union. Future seminars include “Importance of Your Credit,” which will be held in February 2009 and “Steps to Take in Preparation of Making an Automobile Purchase or Purchasing a Home” which will be held in March 2009.
SIFE is a global organization with more than 1,800 teams dispersed throughout 40 countries. SIFE teams develop outreach projects to teach students and the community about market economics, success skills, entrepreneurship, financial literacy and business ethics. The vision of SIFE is “Helping people achieve their dreams through free enterprise education.”
