Dr. Ahrar Ahmad presented “American Democracy and the Muslim World” as part of the Black Hills State University Chiesman Foundation’s celebration of the 221st anniversary of the United States Constitution last week. Ahmad, a political science professor at BHSU, received a standing ovation from the students and community members at the conclusion of his presentation. Ahmad, who was named the national Carnegie Professor of the Year last year, is back on campus after spending a year teaching in Bangladesh as part of his Fulbright Scholar award.
