Cremean publishes introduction for 'The Rainbow Trail'

David Cremean, Black Hills State University associate professor of English, recently published an introduction for Zane Grey’s The Rainbow Trail.

His eight page essay, which was written for The Barnes and Noble Library of Essential Reading, argues that Grey has been overly stereotyped as a writer of formula fiction and that Grey’s intimate knowledge of the American Southwest is underappreciated. Cremean also writes about some of Grey’s biographical, thematic, and critical matters.

Cremean earned his PhD in 2001 from Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green, Ohio, and is entering his ninth year at BHSU.
