BHSU to host 18th annual Yellow Jacket/Gold Dust benefit auction

The 18th Annual Yellow Jacket/Gold Dust Benefit Auction will be held Friday, June 27, 2008 in the Jacket Legacy Room of the David B. Miller Student Union on the BHSU campus.  The Yellow Jacket/Gold Dust Benefit Auction is coordinated by the Yellow Jacket Foundation in an effort to raise scholarship funds for Black Hills State student-athletes.

“The Yellow Jacket/Gold Dust Benefit Auction is a great way for people to support Black Hills State student-athletes,” said John Kietzmann, Director of Athletic Development.  “When you purchase an item from the auction, you get something you want and the proceeds go towards scholarships for our outstanding student-athletes.  It’s win-win.”

Last year over 150 merchants and individuals participated as item donors to assist the Yellow Jacket Foundation in reaching their scholarship dollar requirements.  The 2007 event generated over $10,000 for scholarships at Black Hills State.  This year, the Yellow Jacket Foundation is looking to offer an unparalleled night of fun and entertainment.  A prime rib dinner will be served and local entertainer Butch Samuelson will perform.  Tickets are still available.  Ticket prices are $50 for a single, $80 for a couple, and $300 for a table of eight.

If you or someone you know would like to donate an item or make a reservation, please contact John Kietzmann at (605) 642-6832 or via e-mail at JohnKietzmann@BHSU.Edu.
