Retirement celebration to be held in honor of BHSU professor

A retirement celebration will be held May 31 from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Spearfish to honor Charles Follette, who recently retired from Black Hills State University where he was a speech professor.

Follette grew up on a farm outside of Sturgis and started attending Black Hills Teachers College in 1962. He began teaching at the college in 1969. From 1976-1978 he went on sabbatical to obtain his Ph.D from the University of Illinois. Since that time he has been teaching speech communication and coaching debate at BHSU.
