Dr. Gary Hagerty, assistant professor of mathematics at Black Hills State University, will participate in a panel discussion at the Joint Meeting of American Mathematics Society, a conference that brings over 5,000 collegiate mathematics professors from around the world to share and participate in the dissemination of theoretical and educational applications of collegiate mathematics.

Black Hills State University photography students will be displaying recent work in the BHSU Photographers Gallery through Jan. 14.
The Contemporary Issues in Photography course challenged 18 students to choose a specific personal theme or project to work on over the course of three months. The images included in this exhibition are the culmination and presentation of these projects. The subject matter is wide-ranging and diverse, and there are a variety of photographic mediums presented. The student photographers have also published a companion book for the exhibition titled, Fhoto Phixation-The Sum of its Parts, which is on display and available for purchase in the gallery.
