The South Dakota Community Foundation is pleased to announce that the South Dakota Center for Enterprise Opportunity (SD CEO) has been awarded a $7,000 grant to assist with increasing the number of microenterprises and small businesses in South Dakota.

The Jacket Journal, Black Hills State University’s student newspaper, earned a first place overall award in the American Scholastic Press Association’s annual newspaper competition. This is the second consecutive year the newspaper has won this award.

Dr. Dorothy Fuller, associate professor of education at BHSU, was among the Teacher Education Editorial Board which received the Multimedia Educational Resource for Learning and Online Teaching (MERLOT) Cup Award this year. The House Cup is awarded to the Editorial Board that makes the highest level of contributions in an academic year.

Black Hills State University is launching a new Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) program in Rapid City this fall. The College of Business and Technology will deliver the face-to-face MBA program to build on the thriving business program at BHSU and capitalize on the University’s strategic partnerships with area business persons, who will share their expertise as guest speakers and mentors.
