The Newman Club and a variety of sponsors throughout the Northern Black Hills, Immaculee Ilibagiza, a survivor of the Rwandan Genocide, has been engaged to speak at the Young Center on Sept 10, at 7 p.m.

Imaculee, along with seven other women, managed to escape the brutal murders in her country by hiding in a small bathroom for the duration of the conflict.  While a Christian, Imaculee's message is explicitly non-sectarian. Her story touches upon the history of that terrible time, tolerance, respect, forgiveness, and hope.

For more detailed information regarding her remarkable story, you may visit  Copies of her book, Left to Tell: Discovering God Amidst the Rwandan Holocaust, are available for $10 at St. Joseph Church.
