BHSU education students and graduates will keep you busy exploring the past and predicting the future, examining challenging problems to solve, and explaining your perspective on things you see and don´t see! Every day you will explore, examine, and explain what you are experiencing.
The Summer Exploration Institute is designed to encourage creative and critical thinking skills in the familiar context of living in the Black Hills. The historical and contemporary links establish the importance of growth and expansion in reference to people, places and animals. Through discussions, hands on activities and field trips, participants will view the Black Hills through a new perspective. This weeklong program is offered July 8th - 12th and open to children ages 7-16. The $40 fee covers all materials, an SEI t-shirt, and transportation from BHSU to the exploration sites.
*Camps will run if minimum enrollment is met.
SEI is directed by Dr. Mary Jones and staffed by students, teachers, and volunteers completing their gifted education endorsement for South Dakota
