The music department at Black Hills State is presenting a brass recital by faculty member Christopher Hahn on Sunday, Sept. 30 at 2:30 pm in Meier Recital Hall. Hahn will be joined by faculty member Jonathan Nero and the Black Hills Brass. The Black Hills Brass is a professional brass quintet based in the area that performs for churches, weddings, corporate events, and plays all styles of music. The recital will contain a wide variety of music from solo trumpet pieces to spirituals arranged for voice and trumpet to rousing brass quintet music. The recital is free and donations will be taken to support the BH Friends of Music, an organization that raises money for music scholarships.
