Spearfish Task Force Initiative

Discover programs that strengthen the relationship between Black Hills State University and the surrounding community by supporting business and economic development.

The Spearfish Sub-Culture Development Task Force Initiative was created by Spearfish Mayor Dana Boke and Black Hills State University President Tom Jackson, Jr. to consider ideas and action steps to develop a more vibrant community.

 

Sturgis Motorcycle Rally Housing

Black Hills State University offers on-campus housing to the public during the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. We are located in Spearfish, which is in the beautiful Northern Black Hills. Spearfish is only 18 miles from Sturgis and it’s interstate all the way!

ROOM RENTAL

Black Hills State University and the Spearfish community work together to make a very vibrant and organic community that allows you to do about anything you set your mind to. Black Hills State University is able to assist with helping plan and host events ranging from small intimate meetings to large banquets. Rooms can be rented throughout the campus to help meet your specific needs.

Black Hills State University with the Spearfish and northern hills community, when we are working together, we make for a very vibrant, eclectic, dynamic, organic community that really can do anything it wants to do. One of the best attributes about the Spearfish northern hills community is that our students really like being here. Our students find a home when they come to this community.

Spearfish is a place that captures your heart. The students at Black Hills State really add to the vibrancy of our community. They bring not only athletics and theater, and all of the arts to our community, but they really make Spearfish a more vital and complex community.

What amazes me most is Spearfish has been recognized twice nationally for being in the top ten of livable cities in the United States. Where else can you have such an experience and marry that so nicely with Black Hills State University and the Spearfish community.

Young Center Information

BHSU Facilities Services provides maintenance and care of all buildings on campus, oversees the BHSU vehicle fleet, and handles additional work requests.
