Spring 2015 Bill Due January 22nd

Welcome to the spring 2015 semester!  Hope your classes are going well.

Just a reminder to go out and Web Advisor/SDePay/Current Activity to make sure your bill is paid in full. 

For those that may have received a refund of excess financial aid: if you have made any changes to classes, or other charges, make sure you check Current Activity -- while your refund was being processed your cost difference may not be reflected in your refund, you may now owe.

 Upon still owing, make sure you take care of the bill by January 22nd, you can pay by:

1)      signing up for the monthly payment plan,, or if questions, call 605-642-6480.

2)      paying with cash or check at the cashiers’ windows on 1st floor Woodburn

3)      going on-line and paying with credit card (2.75% fee)

4)      going on-line and paying with e-check (no fee)

5)      completing financial aid paperwork so aid will pay by the 21st (aid is applied to student’s bills on Wed and Fri)

  •      if aid is not showing as “paid” on your Current Activity, or there is not any aid as of yet, make sure you stop by Student Financial Services to visit/call with them (or University Center, Rapid City) prior to the 22nd.

Haakon County students to benefit from BHSU scholarship in memory of Marjorie Briggs

The children of Marjorie (Pickles) Briggs of Midland are carrying on the value their parents placed on higher education by establishing a scholarship at Black Hills State University. Haakon County students are eligible for the scholarship beginning this fall. Marjorie, who passed away in August at the age of 91, attended Black Hills State (formerly Black Hills Teacher’s College) in the early 1950s. She earned her teacher’s certification and taught in country schools near Robbs Flat and Midland.

Montana’s Former Poet Laureate Tami Haaland to share poetry from her collections at BHSU Geek Speak

On Thursday, Jan. 17, Montana’s Former Poet Laureate Tami Haaland will be visiting the Black Hills State University campus for the weekly Geek Speak lecture series. The event is open to the public and will take place at 4 p.m. in the Black Box Theatre of Woodburn Hall on the BHSU campus. Here’s a sneak peek at what’s to come!
