As we approach the New Year, here’s a look back at the Top 10 moments for Black Hills State University in 2018.
Black Hills State University honored Spearfish resident Carol Lundberg recently by naming the Anatomy & Physiology Lab on campus in her honor. Lundberg is a generous supporter of BHSU having established a scholarship fund for students with additional support in her estate plan for math and science scholarships.
Black Hills State University was awarded the Business Beautification Award by the Spearfish Area Chamber of Commerce Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2018. The business beautification award recognizes a local business or organization for their overall beautification efforts, enhancing our community visually, and making it inviting for current and potential residents. BHSU, known as the most beautiful campus in the state and region, has made advancements through their landscaping, tree planting, bicycle friendly, and LED outdoor lighting initiatives.
Black Hills State University was recognized nationally for its sustainability achievements as it was included on the annual listing of “Cool Schools.” BHSU is the only South Dakota school included in the listing.
