Black Hills State University was recently certified as a Bee Campus USA in commitment to creating sustainable habitats for pollinators. BHSU joins more than 150 Bee Cities and Bee Campuses across the country.
Laurie Stenberg Nichols has been named interim president at Black Hills State University. Nichols will assume the interim presidency July 1, and will serve in a temporary capacity until a national search for the university’s next president is concluded and the next president is appointed.
Black Hills State University is hosting an All-School Reunion June 27-29 in Spearfish. The event celebrates the 125th Anniversary of the Alumni Association and the more than 24,000 alums who have attended BHSU. Alumni are invited to register for the Reunion by June 14 at www.BHSU.edu/Reunion
Plans to renovate the E.Y. Berry Library-Learning Center at Black Hills State University are moving forward with the first donation from a local corporation. Black Hills Energy presented a $25,000 check to BHSU earlier this month.
Black Hills State University honored faculty and staff members during the Employee Recognition Reception held recently. Awards were given to outstanding faculty, outstanding staff, and for milestone years of service. More than 60 recipients were honored for 675 total years of service to BHSU.
