A new schedule has been announced for the aquatic center at the Donald E. Young Sports and Fitness Center at Black Hills State University.
Beginning Tuesday, Sept. 6 the Young Center Aquatic Center hours will be Monday through Thursday from 6-8 p.m. for aquatic center members, students, and day passes. Joshua Roadifer, Donald E. Young Sports and Fitness Center manager, also noted that the aquatic center will offer open swim, lap swim, swim lessons, and water aerobics during this time.
In addition, a group of community swimmers have formed the Spearfish Aquatics Club to provide additional hours for community use as club members. Times available for Spearfish Aquatics Club are Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 6-7 a.m. and 12-1 p.m. except for holidays. The club is accepting memberships and is looking to extend hours of availability as the club grows. Current club dues are $25 a month and are due the first of each month.
