Rawlings, assistant professor of photography at BHSU, was one of four local artists chosen to exhibit artwork in the Rapid City Regional Airport. BHSU alum Ray Tysdal also has his photographs displayed in the exhibit.

Rawlings&rsquo exhibit is a series of photographs from the annual Sturgis Motorcycle Rally taken over the years. This year marks the 75th annual Sturgis Motorcycle Rally and Rawlings said there&rsquos no better way to welcome visitors to the event than a photo collage from Rally&rsquos past.

"I simply could not be more thrilled at the prospect of being chosen for the exhibition," Rawlings said. "A venue such as the Rapid City airport ensures that literally thousands upon thousands of individuals will be able to view my work. I feel extremely privileged to be only of four chosen to exhibit in this first exhibit put on by the airport."

This is the first of an ongoing series of artist exhibitions that the Rapid City airport has planned. The exhibits are located in the main concourse at the Rapid City Regional Airport.
