President of Black Hills State University, Dr. Tom Jackson, Jr., has been asked to be a featured speaker at two education conferences in March: the Botswana Tertiary Education Fair &amp Conference in Gaborone, Botswana and the American College Personnel Association&rsquos (ACPA) Annual Convention in Tampa, Fla.

The Botswana Tertiary Education Fair &amp Conference held March 23-27 in southern Africa provides a forum for students interested in higher education to dialogue with college institutions about programs of study.  The conference will also provide career guidance for developing the economy of Botswana.   Jackson will also meet with students, community and governmental leaders to discuss potential study abroad opportunities at Black Hills State University.

During the ACPA conference held March 5-8, Jackson will join select university leaders for a panel presentation titled "Student Affairs through the Eyes of a College President."  The ACPA conference aims to advance student success by equipping university personnel with tools and ideas to adapt to changes in post-secondary education.

Jackson, who has an extensive knowledge of higher education, is often requested to present his insight at regional, national, and international events. Jackson was recently notified that he was selected to be a presenter at the American Association for State Colleges and Universities (AASCU) annual conference for new university presidents this summer. He&rsquoll draw upon his experiences, successes and challenges during this first year as president at BHSU to develop that presentation for educational leaders from throughout the nation.

In addition to these formal presentations, Jackson is also a frequent guest speaker at local and regional events including the recent Economic Development Banquet, service groups, and youth groups.
