Presidential Student Ambassadors (from left) Kaitlin Spargur and Brittany Thompson accept food donations from Parthasarathi Nag, professor of mathematics and faculty senate president, and Leone Geppert, budget manager, as they arrive at the annual Christmas Reception.  BHSU faculty and staff brought canned and boxed food items for the Spearfish Food Pantry.

Black Hills State University faculty and staff brought more than good tidings to their annual Christmas reception this year.

BHSU President Tom Jackson, Jr., and the administration team encouraged faculty and staff to bring canned and boxed food to the holiday reception to benefit the Spearfish Food Pantry.  More than 50 bags and boxes of food were delivered to the Pantry on Wednesday.

"While we gathered together internally to celebrate with our colleagues, we also wanted to look outward to the needs of our local community," said Jackson

The food collected for the Spearfish Food Pantry will serve neighbors in Spearfish and St. Onge.
