Amy Cuddy: Your Body Language Shapes Who You Are

Author: BHSU Communications/Tuesday, June 10, 2014/Categories: 2014

Harvard School of Business Professor Amy Cuddy investigates how we judge and influence each other through our body language and non-verbals.  Her research indicates that when we pretend to be powerful, we are more likely to actually feel powerful.  Thus, our body language can help shape who we are.  Cuddy asserts that: "our bodies change our minds--and our minds change our behavior--and our behavior changes our outcomes."

Listen to Cuddy's TED lecture and share your thoughts.  Do you currently apply some of Cuddy's logic to your own life, leadership and workplace behavior?  How might you use her advice yourself or share with those you mentor?   Amy Cuddy: Your Body Language Shapes Who You Are
